Beach ornament
One thing that I absolutely love about the summer is going at the beach. I love the sand, the ocean, the smell of sunblock and the warm sun. I found some sand that I’ve saved from a vacation and decided to make this ornament to remind me of those warm days at the beach, soaking up the sun.
I found the anchor charms from an old necklace I wore for a sailor halloween costume. I bought these ornament balls around Christmas at Michaels for 50 cents. I’m not sure if they still sell them now. You can also purchase them here: http://www.amazon.com/Clear-Plastic-Acrylic-Fillable-Ornament/dp/B002WZIO4U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1326752180&sr=8-1

While creating this ornament, first put the sand on a piece of paper. Then, bend the paper slightly at the halfway point to create a sort of funnel while pouring the sand into the ornament. You can then add small seashells or colored beads to place into the ornament. Top it off with charms (if you have any) and a pretty colored ribbon and voilà! You have created a pretty summer ornament.
Happy Crafting!
Love,
